Education and Capacity Building

Relevant, responsive, and robust education systems play a critical role in sustainable economic and social development in Asia and around the world. Michigan State University (MSU) has a long history of scholarly work in comparative research, teaching, outreach, and higher education administration, as well as professional development, curriculum, and pedagogical design and delivery.

The Asia Hub Network brings Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU), Michigan State University, and 14 regional institutions together for educational, capacity building, and professional development opportunities. The MSU-NAU Joint Institute will offer a dual degree program.


Central Asia.pngCentral Asia Platform

Central Asia Platform (CAP) innovates regional partnerships to leverage human, financial, and intellectual resources. Together the partners work closely to develop and apply the latest approaches and technologies to address emerging and pressing issues, with initial focus on water resources management, land degradation, and food security in Central Asia.

The South Asia Partnership (SAP) is a platform for collaborative programs with public and private institutions in India and other countries. The MSU College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) facilitates mutually beneficial collaborations in agricultural research, education, training, outreach, and capacity building based on long-standing partnerships.
